The inland Huntersville community of Olmsted is a great place to call home for people desiring a quiet setting but still wanting to be close to great schools, shops and Lake Norman!. There are also new construction homes from which to choose if you want to customize a home to fit your family’s needs!

Located off Eastfield Road close to Prosperity Church Road, Olmsted is only 10 minutes from downtown Huntersville.

Everyday errands and shopping can be accomplished across the street from Olmsted at Eastfield Village Shopping Center. The Shoppes at Highland Creek are less than a mile away for more dining and shopping options.

Olmsted is a rather small community compared to neighboring Highland Creek. There are less than 200 homes. Land is set aside for future development, however, the scope of the project is much smaller than many planned communities.

Olmsted residents have a pool with water slide, clubhouse, a variety of pocket parks, an 11-acre lake, walking trails, playground and tennis courts to enjoy.

In the last year, Olmsted home prices have ranged from the $400,000s to high $800,000s. Olmsted homes are large – ranging from 3,000 square feet to upwards of 6,000 square feet. As of Jan. 3, there are new construction and resale homes available in the neighborhood.

A total of 28 homes sold in Olmsted in the last 12-month period for an average sales price of $534,503 and $140 per square foot. The 28 homes sold averaged 99% of list price.

There are currently 17 Olmsted homes for sale as of Jan 3. Five of the homes are resale and the rest are pre-construction or new construction. List prices range from $478,197 to the $820,000s.

Olmsted is currently zoned for Blythe Elementary School, Alexander Middle School and North Mecklenburg High School. Also, just outside Olmsted is The Primrose School at Eastfield Village, a private preschool.
