The Beacon Pointe neighborhood in Mooresville is a bucolic Lake Norman community combining the best of lake life with a rural setting close to modern conveniences.
The community, located off Fern Hill Road peninsula, offers lakeside, lake view and interior homes.
Though technically in Mooresville, Beacon Pointe is actually closer to downtown Troutman, which is only 5.5 miles compared to 10 miles to downtown Mooresville.
Interstate access and shopping are both 5-7 miles from Beacon Pointe, so the community is not for someone who wants to live amid a lot of activity. I-77 access is approximately 5.5 miles north of Beacon Pointe.
It is a few minutes to daily necessities, but bigger shopping centers are a few miles away. Uptown Charlotte is 38 miles south and would take more than an hour each way in rush hour. Huntersville and Birkdale Village’s shopping and dining are about 20 miles south of Beacon Pointe.
Lake Norman State Park is less than 15 minutes away and offers many trails, green space and pavilions for events.
Beacon Pointe homes are larger in size – between 3,000 square feet and 6,500 square feet. There are homes built in the late 1990s as well as newer construction.
All of the waterfront homes have their own deeded boat slips and dock space. Homes without water access have a deeded boat slip in the community’s private, gated dock.
In addition to the community boat slips, there is a gazebo and picnic tables for residents to enjoy.

Beacon Pointe is zoned for Iredell County’s Lakeshore Elementary and Middle schools and Lake Norman High School. Private Hope Christian Academy is also less than a mile from Beacon Pointe and offers K-12 education.
