Cedarfield was built in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The neighborhood is mature and wooded with lots of green space and common area fields. The Torrence Creek Greenway, a walking and biking trail, runs through the neighborhood and connects to a larger system of walking trails in the area.

Amenities include a pool and clubhouse, tennis courts, mixed-use fields, playground and walking trails. There is also a separate gated area with a kiddie pool and covered area.

Homes in the family-friendly neighborhood average from the mid-$100,000s to nearly $300,000. Home sizes range from about 1,500 square feet to 3,000 square feet on lots averaging about one-third of an acre.
