Neighborhood Spotlight: Victoria Bay in Lake Norman-Area Cornelius

The lovely waterside community of Victoria Bay in Cornelius is a moderately priced neighborhood in a great central location close to the open waters of Lake Norman.

Victoria Bay is Located off Catawba Avenue via Lake Village Boulevard east of I-77. It is within walking distance to Cornelius library and the Lake Norman YMCA. Shopping and I-77 access is just outside the entrance to the neighborhood.

In addition to the YMCA, residents can walk to Legion and Smithville parks as well as Cornelius Elementary School. 

A commute to metro Charlotte is less than 20 miles via I-77. Davidson College is only 3 miles from Victoria Bay.

Victoria Bay lines the shore of Lake Cornelius, a body of water separated from main Lake Norman by the I-77 bridge. You can boat in Lake Cornelius, however, you cannot connect to Lake Norman via boat under I-77.

The closest public boat ramp for access to Lake Norman is in nearby Ramsey Creek Park, which is 3 miles from Victoria Bay. Jetton Park, which is almost adjacent to Ramsey Creek, offers tennis, beaches and walking trails.

Victoria Bay, which was built in the early 2000s, has great resident amenities. Homeowners can enjoy tennis courts, a pool, clubhouse and playground as well as 1.5 miles of lakeside trails and kayak racks.
